World of Tanks (WoT) ist ein 2010 erschienenes Massively Multiplayer Online Game des weißrussischen Spieleentwicklers Wargaming.net. Im Spiel werden Gefechte durchgeführt, in denen zwei Spielergruppen mit in der Regel je 15 Panzern einander gegenüber stehen. Es gibt Panzer in den Kategorien „leichter Panzer“, „mittlerer Panzer“, „schwerer Panzer“, „Jagdpanzer“ und „Selbstfahrlafette“ (mobile Artillerie). Weiter sind die Panzer in verschiedene Leistungsstufen von I bis X und verschiedene Nationen eingeteilt. Die Zusammensetzung der Teams wird vor Spielbeginn serverseitig errechnet (sogenanntes Matchmaking), wobei Kategorien, Stufen und Nationen gemischt werden. Dadurch können beispielsweise britische, sowjetische und deutsche Panzer im selben Team stehen.
World of Warships (kurz: WoWs) ist eine Schiffsimulation vom weißrussischen Entwicklerstudio Wargaming.net. Das Computerspiel wurde am 17. September 2015 für das Betriebssystem Windows veröffentlicht und seitdem kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt.[1] Im August 2019 erschien eine Version des Spiel für die Spielkonsolen PlayStation 4 und Xbox One. Die Kriegsschiffsimulation kombiniert die Spielmechanik eines First- und Third-Person-Shooters zu einer taktischen Kriegssimulation mit Schwerpunkt auf den Fernkampf. Das Spielprinzip orientiert sich an den Vorgängern, der Panzersimulation World of Tanks von 2010 und der Flugzeugsimulation World of Warplanes von 2013. Bis zu 12 Online-Spieler, die je ein Kriegsschiff steuern, kämpfen als Team gegen ein anderes Team, das aus Spielern (Player versus Player) oder Computergegnern (KI-Gegnern, Player versus Environment) besteht. Die Gefechte dauern höchstens 20 Minuten. Es gibt vier Schiffstypen, die verschiedene taktische Vor- und Nachteile mit sich bringen: Zerstörer, Kreuzer, Schlachtschiff und Flugzeugträger. In der Zukunft soll es auch U-Boote geben. Die Schiffe sind 10 verschiedenen Leistungsstufen zugeordnet. Im Gefecht treffen nur Schiffe ähnlicher Stufen aufeinander. In regelmäßigen Abständen erscheinen saisonale Specials und Sonderinhalte.
World of Warcraft (engl. Welt des Kriegshandwerks; meist WoW abgekürzt) ist ein Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (engl. Massen-Mehrspieler-Online-Rollenspiel; MMORPG abgekürzt) des US-amerikanischen Spielentwicklers Blizzard Entertainment. Das Spiel wurde am 23. November 2004, dem 10. Jahrestag des Warcraft-Franchises, in Mexiko, Neuseeland, Kanada, Australien und den USA veröffentlicht. Während es in Europa am 11. Februar 2005 erschienen ist, wurde es später auch in anderen Ländern veröffentlicht, unter anderem in der Volksrepublik China, in Spanien und Russland. Das Spiel ist wie die Vorgängerspiele, die auch von Blizzard entwickelt wurden, im Warcraft-Fantasy-Universum angesiedelt und knüpft an die Handlung von Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne an.
